Electrolysis is the only method of permanent hair removal approved by the FDA. There are three modalities of electrolysis:

Thermolysis (Short Wave) utilizes high frequency current traveling down the probe producing heat and destroying the root of the hair. This process only takes seconds per hair and is the most commonly used method on the East Coast. This method is used at

Blend: combines both galvanic and thermolysis methods to achieve permanent hair results.

Galvanic: utilizes direct current. The client must hold onto a rod or wet sponge. This method utilizes single or multiple probes and can take up to a minute for each hair. This process is used widely in California and western U.S.

AMK Electrolysis is results-oriented and strives for minimal temporary side effects such as a slight skin reddening or swelling. This lasts only about 30 minutes to a few hours.
